Carved wooden netsuke of a reclining dog, Japan, mid-late 19th century (Edo-Meiji) - The dog is depicted in a dynamic position, reclining on all four paws and turning its head innocently to the side. Its fur is delicately engraved, and its eyes are inlaid with black horn using inlay techniques. Two asymmetrical himotoshi holes are at the base between its legs. Dimensions: 4x3x2 cm.
