An old silver Rhyton. style of Achaemenid period.-Persia - An impressive silver Rhyton in the style of Achaemenid period 5th century BC. The Rhyton is in Lion form. It is executed completely by hand with cutting, chasing, embossing.  a beautiful dark patina to the cup. The cup stands up straight and is in very good condition. The tongue of the Rhyton is pierced.  Weight: 947 grams - High silver content. Height: 29.5 cm dimensions of cup opening: 14 cm
