A Set of a Carved Wood and Lacquer Intro with Netsuke, Japan, Edo Period, 19th Century - Four tiered inro, decorated with a rural scene in hiramaki-e and highlighted with gold lacquer and nashiji on a black roiro lacquer ground. Strung with a purple himo cord and secured with an oval carved coral ojime bead. At the other end of the himo is a black persimmon-wood netsuke depicting a monkey biting into a peach, with a pair of enlarged himotoshi holes.
