A Luxurious Rococo Gilt-Brass Ormolu and Glass Etui with Perfume Bottle, France, 18th Century - The etui of gilt brass (Ormolu), decorated in relief with cherubs among flowers, the interior lined with velvet; fitted with a narrow bulbous perfume bottle of faceted glass decorated with gilt tendrils, surmounted by a gilt-silver (Vermeil) stopper similarly decorated with pierced and engraved ornament. Wear consistent with age (does not close fully).
