An Embroidered Banner, China, Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) - Incorporating gilt metal threads and small applied metal elements. Decorated with roundels bearing Chinese calligraphy, alongside foo dogs, mythical birds (phoenix/peacocks) and floral motifs. The borders are adorned with multicolored bands and additional embroidery.
