A Qajar Brass, Wood, and Turquoise Hookah Base, Persia, 19th Century - The base composed of a sloped brass layer inlaid with turquoise and numerous rose cut diamonds  arranged in geometric patterns. Four silver chains are suspended from loops on the sides. The piece terminates in a carved wooden socket designed to receive the neck of the hookah. Several stones are missing.
