large antique amber necklace- Morocco - 19th century - The necklace is comprised of 41 hand carved amber beads. Most of them are of butter scotch color. A chain with a hook attached for wearing.  weight: 80 gram length: 39 cm bead size: 8-28 mm *Amber was cherished in morocco. Most of it was brought from the Baltic region and traded with the Moroccan people for silver coins.  *It was said in Morocco that a husbands love can be seen by the size of his wife's amber.
