A gilded Silver Tunisian Temple ornament- 1880-1900 - The impressive ornament is made of silver cast, engraved and pierced. It is extraordinarily long and substantial .The upper cast portion is adorned with floral work and two birds facing one another. three faceted glass beads are set proportionally on the upper part of the ornament. A hook is soldered on for attaching to the traditional head piece.  two hamsas flank each side of the cast part while 11 rows of hand cut and soldered, silver rings hang, down. each culminating with a hamsa at its end.
