Gilded silver Yemenite bridal bracelet- San'a - early 1900's - The bracelet is adorned with domes( Gubbeh) made in the filigree technique. The stones are set with alternating emeralds and opals. The bracelet is secured with a screw on closure that ensures this valuable bracelet would not fall off. On the closure there is a floral arrangement of opals with an emerald in the center.  *These bracelets which are perhaps under the category of ”tomb” bracelets. They are of the finest quality. They were owned  by only the richest of the Jews and were lent out to those with less means.  weight: 100 grams  diameter: 5.5 cm  condition report: one of the opals is missing from the floral setting.
