silver Yemenite festive necklace (labbeh) early 1900's - silver boxes sit on an embroidered colored cloth. below are various silver ornaments culminating  in silver bells at the bottom.  * necklaces of this type were given to the bride her betrothed or by her husband and was worn below the chin, framing her face.It was considered one of the more important pieces of a woman's wedding garb.
