Silver and coral(mirjan) amulet necklace - Yemen 1880-1920 - At the center of the necklace is a silver Amulet case with hanging silver bells. six rows of corals(mirjan) make there way up to the top of the necklace, separated by two silver spheres on each side. Two cone shaped beads at the top of the necklace * in Yemen  corals were a symbol of beauty and youth.  It was believed that corals could stop excessive bleeding that a woman may have. weight: 274 grams full length: 72 cm
