Pair of silver earrings/ head ornament and silver ring-Yemen first half of the 20th century - 1.The basket shaped ornaments are made of gilded silver and are set with green stones. They were used as attachments to chains that were sewn onto the head garment of a Yemenite woman. They are also used as earrings. crafted with fine filigree work  2. The ring is made from gilded silver. It is set with a green stone  * A yemenite bride would wear up to 10 rings like this one before us. In the Yihud room she would receive a set of these rings.
