An old Kafkazi silver woven and beaded head piece- Kaflkaz region- 19th century - The head piece is comprised of woven yellow cotton and metal wire. There are hundreds of silver beads strung on the back and the sides of the head piece. Silver chainn mail covers the bottom rear of the piece Silver chains hang down culminating in the 19th century Russian silver coins which hang from the sides. A central gilded silver medallion in the form of an Islamic star and crescent  hangs at the front. It is decorated with filigree work and blue stones. condition: There are multiple areas that need to be restitched.
