A gilded silver filigree chest ornament - Ottoman province/ Balkan region- 18th/19th century - The gilded silver ornament is is comprised of silver filigree plaques linked together by silver bars. Below dangle organic shaped pendants terminating with a filigreed cross. Colored stones set in the middle. Above are two hooks for attaching to a garment cut, filigreed, gilded, soldered, wrought length: 29 cm weight: 83 grams
