A rare pair of gold filigree,coral and corundum amulet temple pendants- Bukhara - 1900 - The temple pendants are crafted from 14-16k gold. The body of the pendants are in the form of double amulet holders. Punched floral ornaments soldered onto the fine zigzag filigree work. On one of the pendants below dangle three ornaments set with faceted red corundum and strung around with seed pearls. On the other is a red faceted red corundum with seed pearl elements  as well as punched gold ornaments and corals. Above the amulet body is a hook for attachment made from brass. Gold chains hang below.  On one of the pendant hangs a faceted corundum and other gold talisman elements. On the other pendant hangs gold talisman pendants. slight variations to pendants.  cut, filigreed, wrought, soldered, strung  weight: 56 grams length:  14 cm dimensions of amulet holders. 4*2.5 mm * As well as great aesthetic purpose, an item like this would also protect its wearer from evil spirits.
