A rare 22k gold ”Tillya Kosh” bird motif, wedding tiara- Bukhara- Beginning of the 20th century - The 22k gold tiara is comprised of three main elements. The central ornament is in the form of two crowned birds kissing over a floral element. The ornament is inlaid with tourmaline, turquoise, and white rock crystal. Flanking the ” kissing bird” element  are two engraved wings, set with turquoise , tourmaline and a small emerald Below dangle pendants strung with pearls and set with turquoise stones.  three gold hooks and chains for hanging to traditional garb cut, soldered, wrought,   dimensions: 21*5 cm weight: 101 grams *The Bukhara community was very wealthy. That said it is still rare to find an item like this in gold. Usually it is found in silver. A similar item was in the ” Threads of silk” Bukhara exhibition in the diaspora Museum.
