A rare and finely filigreed gilded silver cuff bracelet- Ethiopia- 1850-1880 - The heavy bracelet is formed from two worked silver sheets. Fine filigree plaques in zigzag form applied to the silver sheets with rivets connecting them. Half spheres and granulation in geometric pattern adorn the bracelet. Silver tassels hang down from both sides of the bracelets. A silver rod secures the bracelet in place  much of the gilding has worn off cut, filigreed, soldered, wrought. gilded inner dimension: 79 cm length of bracelet: 73 cm weight: 292 grams
