A rare and massive gilded silver and large coral bead ceremonial wedding necklace- Yemen 1900 - The necklace is comprised of two large triangular shaped pendants( tadarif ) for hanging.  Dome shaped elements set with corals on the ”tadarif” pendants. Below are strung six rows of gilded silver elements and large coral beads. Two large gilded silver pendants set with large coral beads hang in the center. composition of the six rows of beads: Two of the rows are formed from large granulated silver beads which make their way down to the central pendants. Three rows strung all the way through are comprised of gilded silver spheres and granulated beads as well as coral beads. The sixth row is comprised of three connected strings of large corals with intermittent punched silver elements throughout. Below hang gilded silver ”tumar” amulet pendants as well as gilded silver bells.  length of necklace: 100 cm weight of necklace: 3670 grams large central pendant : 16*11 cm dimensions of triangular =hanging pendant: 17*13 cm dimension of corals: 8*7mm- 20*22.8mm
