Rumen Gasharov (b. 1936) - On the bed, oil on canvas, 50х35 cm In 1951 he enrolled in the newly established National Secondary School of Fine Arts in Sofia. He received diploma number one upon graduating with the first class. In 1962 he graduated in painting at the National Academy of Arts in the class of Prof. Iliya Petrov. Awards: - First prize for painting at the National Exhibition dedicated to the city of Sofia - Annual award of Sofia Municipality for visual arts - Annual award “Vladimir Dimitrov – The Master/Maystora” - First prize for painting at the International Biennial of Humour and Satire in the Arts, Gabrovo - Award of the Union of Bulgarian Artists from the National Exhibition – Burgas
