Edgar Rice Burroughs (American 1875-1950) Best-known for creating the characters Tarzan and John Carter, he also wrote the Pellucidar series, the Amtor series, and the Caspak trilogy. A prolific author, his favorite subjects were adventure, science fiction, and fantasy.
