Advertising Poster Buy British Empire Marketing Board EMB. Original vintage advertising poster issued by the Empire Marketing Board to encourage British citizens to buy British goods in order to help their economy following the Great Depression in America. Eye-catching design by one of England's leading poster artists Austin Cooper (1890-1964) featuring stylised text in orange and black against an orange and black striped background - Buyers are Builders Buy British from the Empire at Home or Overseas - with the EMB logo below. The Empire Marketing Board (EMB 1926-1933) was formed to promote intra-Empire trade. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Johnson Riddle, London. Very good condition, creasing, small tears. Country of issue: UK, designer: Austin Cooper, size (cm): 51x38, year of printing: 1935.
