Sport Poster Munich Olympics 1972 Josef Albers. Original vintage sport poster for the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich Germany featuring a colourful illustration by Josef Albers (1888-1976) featuring an abstract image of a blue rectangle framed in beige. This Munich Olympic poster is one of the series of posters by various popular artists of the period (Peter Phillips, Horst Antes, Otl Aicher, David Hockney among others) commissioned to design the 1972 Olympic Games posters in Germany for their advertising campaign, which aimed to "represent the intertwining of sports and art worldwide". Very good condition, minor creasing. Country of issue: Germany, designer: Josef Albers, size (cm): 101x64, year of printing: 1971.
