Original vintage advertising poster for a German shoe polish brand - Take Servus Edel The Ideal Shoe Care Product / Nimm Servus Edel Das Ideale Schuhpflegemittel. Colourful constructivist Art Deco style design by Leonhard Fries (1881-1965) featuring the elegant hands of a lady with a tin of shoe polish against a slanted red stripe in the background, the text around and on the tin in stylised black and white letters below two people bowing to each other. Printed in Germany by R. Barnick. G. M. B. H., Berlin. Horizontal. Good condition, repaired small tears and loss, backed on linen.
