Advertising Poster Come From The Shadows Richard Slye Photo Montage - Original vintage collage-style poster titled Come From the Shadows by Richard Slye (1943-2007), depicting people appearing from manholes in the road crossing the bridge with yellow wildflowers on either side. Text on reverse reads - This poster is one of a series of four posters published jointly by Manchester Free Press and Lancashire Association of Trades Councils. Richard Slye is the most original photo-montage artist since John Heartfield. Brought up in the Deep South of the USA, he first made his mark as a Blues session percussionist. In recent years he has lived in Toronto, Canada, where he has been prodigiously cutting away at the imagery of the US arms industry. Many of his pictures have been used as posters by the US and Canadian peace movements. Good condition, creasing, small tears, information printed on reverse.
