Gluck's opera Orpheus and Eurydice by the Bavarian State Opera at the National Theatre on 15 October 1967: Orpheus und Eurydike - Bayerische Staatsoper - Nationaltheater. Dynamic design featuring an abstract artwork in shades of black and white with the text in stylised black and grey letters. This popular opera by the music scholar and composer Gluck (Christoph Willibald Ritter von Gluck; 1714-1787) based on a mythical Greek legend was first performed in 1762. Large size.
