Advertising Poster Arabian Medicine Aramco Arabian American Oil Company - Original vintage educational poster The Story of Arabian Medicine, featuring an image of Rhazes, the chief physician at Baghdad hospital, Arab physicians examining a patient, ibn Sina or Avicenna taking notes, physicians making bedside observations, an Arab pharmacist, caravans carrying supplies for druggists, and medical tools. The poster details an overview of the ”golden age” of Islamic medicine, which occurred between 900 and 1200 A.D. During this time, Islamic scholars translated Greek and Roman medical texts, developed new theories and treatments, and established advanced hospitals and pharmacies. Published by the Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco). Aramco was founded in 1933, as California-Arabian Standard Oil, is a major petroleum and natural gas company now known as Saudi Aramco.
