Advertising Poster Longines Swiss Watch Watchmaker Switzerland - Original antique advertising poster celebrating the historic achievements of the Swiss watchmaker Longines at the turn of the 20th century. This remarkably detailed lithograph commemorates the brand winning the prestigious Grand Prix at the Paris Universal Exhibition. The complex and elegant composition features a young lady in traditional Swiss attire, delicately holding a large Longines pocket watch above her head, a symbol of the time-honoured precision and craftsmanship of the brand. The design is richly decorated with numerous gold prize medals awarded to the manufacturer in various international exhibitions, including Brussels 1897 and Paris 1889 and 1900. Centrally placed within an oval vignette is a picturesque view of the extensive Longines factory in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. The illustration showcases the industrial scale of the ”Les Longines” site, nestled in the Jura mountains, which was then the largest factory in the town. The lower portion of the poster features detailed technical renderings of watch movements, further emphasising the mechanical innovation for which Longines was renowned. Printed by Art.
