Advertising Poster Bananas Fyffes Food Production Education - Original vintage educational poster Bananas, showing fruit growing and transportation stages, including cutting bunches, transporting bananas from plantations by rail to the wharf for shipment, loading and unloading canvases of single bunches by elevators, and storing green bunches under controlled gas heat, a map inset shows banana shipment routes from the West Indies, West Africa and the Canary Islands to the UK, with an image of ss Matina (Fyffes Line) that had the cargo capacity of 160,000 bunches which equaled to 16 million bananas; and a smaller image depicting banana ripeness and a nourishing meal suggestion when taken with milk.
