The 1972 Pirelli Calendar was the first to be photographed by a woman, marking a radical shift in tone and style from what had gone before. The Pirelli Calendar, also known as The Cal, created by the British art director Derek Forsyth, has been published by the UK subsidiary of the Italian tyre manufacturing company Pirelli since 1964.
