An Ottoman Army Officer’s Dress Sword - The slightly curved single-edged blade with fullers on both sides and a back edge near the central point is etched on both sides with floral decoration and the inscription 'Bazar De Musique Stamboul Galata' on one side. The ricasso bears the maker's mark, which is also inscribed on the back of the blade: “Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie Solingen”. Brass hilt with remnants of gilding, relief decoration with floral and geometric patterns and trophies. The grip is covered with fish skin and wrapped with twisted brass wire. Nickel-plated steel scabbard, two suspension rings. Turkey after 1908, length 89 cm. Condition 2+
