Magnate Sabre - Slightly curved blade with fuller on both sides and a double-edged point, damascan steel. Upper third is decorated with trophies with floral and geometric ornament, partially etched and engraved. Remaints of gilding. Brass printed gilded sheet metal set. Cross guard with FJI (Franz Joseph I.) monogram. Pommel in shape of a lion´s head. Grip with nacre tangs, decorative silvered rivets enclosed by turquoise. Steel scabbard covered with leather, brass gilded decorated fittings, loose rings for hanging. Austria-Hungary, end of 19th century, length 103cm. Grip slightly damaged.Condition 2
