OXFORD', rounded muzzle with engraved band, dove-tailed fore-sight and rear-sight, double ear extractor. Borderline engraved open frame with under frame barrel release, marked on the left side 'HEGE' and 'TRANTER'S PATENT', spur trigger, exposed central hammer, chequered walnut grip. United Kingdom, second half of the 19th century, overall length 27.5 cm. The pistol is housed in a wooden case with felt-lined compartments along with an oil can, screwdriver, and cleaning kit.
