Pair of Very Early Double-Barreled Percussion Pistols, Baucheron-Pirmet, Paris - SN 24, side-by-side barrels of Damascus steel with smooth bores, 16 mm caliber, column-shaped fixed front sight on the mid rib, gold circular bands at the muzzle and in the breech area. One of the barrels bears the proof mark of St. Etienne from 1824-1856. Tangs with floral engravings. Early percussion locks with floral engraved decoration, marked ”Fni Par Baucheron/Pirmet” on the right and ”a Paris” on the left. Walnut half stock, grips with fine chequering, steel furniture with floral engraved decoration. Horn ramrods with steel cleaning ending. France, Paris around 1830, length 32 cm each. Pirmet-Bacheron, acquired in 1828 in Paris.
