Sporting Rifle by Johann Haberda, Frauenberg - Serial number 3090. Octagonal rifled blued barrel, mirror-like bore with sharp rifling, 13 mm caliber, machined top side signed 'J HABERDA FRAUENBERG' in breech area. Under the breech on the right Ferlach proof after 1882, on the left nitro proof mark from 1931-1962. Dovetailed front sight, folding rear sight. Scope marked “J. Nowotny in Prag”. Folding diopter. Receiver and lock plate decorated with arabesques, blued cock engraved with tendrils. Double set trigger. Half stock, forestock and neck with chequering. Steel furniture with fine engraving. Bohemia, Hluboká nad Vltavou before 1890, length 106 cm. Jan Haberda, court gunsmith to the Princes of Schwarzenberg, known until 1898. Condition 1-
