Bidspirit auction | A Cased Deringer Percussion Pistol

A Cased Deringer Percussion Pistol by Isaak Hollis & Sons - Octagonal rifled barrel of 13 mm calibre transitions into cylindrical barrel, on the upper bar partly brass adjustable front sight, steel rear sight. Birmingham proof marks on the lower part of the barrel. The breech and breech block area are decorated with engraved scrolls. The engraved percussion lock is signed 'Hollis & Sons'. Walnut stock, german silver mounts, wrist escutcheon vacant, grip with checquered pattern. Wooden ramrod with horn-lined tip. England, 1st half of the 19th century, length 20 cm. Housed in a wooden case inside covered in purple velvet, together with a powder flask and bullet mold, label on lid. Dimensions of the case 23 x 6 x 16 cm.
