Collombert - Blued octagonal rifled barrels in cal. 14.5 mm with central fluted sections and blued crescent blade front sights. Casehardened patent breeches numbered “1” and “2” in gold. Breech tangs incorporating a blued adjustable rear sight and also numbered “1” and “2” in gold. Blued border and scroll engraved throughout lock plates signed “L. COLLOMBERT A AIX-LES BAINS” in gold. Furniture including casehardened trigger plate, blued spurred trigger guard and casehardened pommel with blued turned finial. Hardwood half length stocks with checkered butts. French circa 1850, length of each 42.5 cm. Remnants of the case and accesories (powder flask, hardwood pot with lid and piston wrench ). Condition 1-
