A pair of cased percussion pistols by A. V. Lebeda - SN 6151. An octagonal, in the middle sixteen-sided, rifled blued barrels in cal. 10 mm, the top-flats signed in gilt script 'A.V. LEBEDA IN PRAG', with scrolls engraved breech-blocks, dove-tailed fore-sights, adjustable notch rear-sights, the scrolls engraved top-tangs, rococo scroll engraved percussion locks signed 'A. V. Lebeda', en-suite hammers, Rosewood smooth half-stocks with checkered grips set with silver studs bears oval silver escutcheons engraved with ”G” below a count's crown on both the stock’s wrist, en suite engraved trigger guards . Prague circa 1855, legth of each 40 cm. Both pistols in fine order with much finish remaining and in their maker's presentation mahogany veneered case (dimensions 45 x 7 x 26 cm), the case lined and compartmented in the Continental manner in brown baize marked on the lid ”A V LEBEDA/PRAGUE” and retaining the complex-shaped lidded compartments with turned bone handles and an original accessories (some missing). The pistols were owned by count Vladislav Gozze (1795 - 1866) in Dubrovnik. Condition 1-
