An Engraved and Gold Inlaid Defourny System Hammerless Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun by Jindrich Holecek - No. 10911. Side-by -side blued barrels in cal. 12/65. Length of the barrels 60 cm. The top of the right barrel is marked in gold inlay ”J. HOLECEK” and ”HRADEC - KRALOVE” on the top left. Barrels with full and improved modified chokes. Mirror like bore. Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, auto ejectors. Barrels are numbered to the gun and have a sling swivel mounted on the underside. The receiver, side locks, break lever, forearm hardware and tangs are nicely floral scroll engraved with a gold inlaid crown on the break lever. The bottom of the receiver is marked ” A. JOS. DEFOURNY / BREVETE”. Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety with gold ”S” Checkered walnut forearm with a gold inlaid number ”2”and straight grip stock with a checkered bare butt and sling swivel. Top of the butt inlaid with gold number ”2” and monogramed in ligature ”ČJ” with gold on the right side. Czechoslovakia circa 1930, length 100 cm. Jindrich Holecek (1894 - 1973 Hradec Kralove).
