Baroque Table Clock, Joseph Anthoni Schener (Schöner) - Ebonized, partially glazed wooden case on gilded paw feet crowned with a figure of Mercury. Base drawer and side columns with carved capitals. Gilded copper pediment with silver-plated copper appliqués and openwork Mannerist motifs. Silver-plated copper dial, signed “Joseph Anthoni Schener,” engraved Roman numerals, two winding openings and window for the false pendulum, openwork hands in burnished steel, movement with spindle escapement, hour strike on bell. Engraved back plate signed “Joseph Anthoni Schener” in the center. Augsburg after 1700, height 82 cm.
