A Royal Navy Officers Dirk - A narrow blade with wedge-shaped cross-section and a false edge near the central point, made out of an older sword blade. The hilt is decorated with gilded brass fittings (gilding is worn-out), repaired S-shaped guard with engraved anchors on both ends. Rectangular, fluted pommel with beveled edges. Rectangular, fluted grip made of ivory with longitudinal brass strips. Probably England, end of the 18th century, length 44,5 cm. Scabbard missing.Condition 2-
