A Fine Ottoman Shamshir with Silver-Gilt Mounts - A curved single edged Damascus blade with rod-shaped back, back point and back edge near the point. The gold-plated silver fittings on the handle and scabbard are beautifully engraved with floral and foliage motifs. Horn grip scales. The front side of the weapon is richly decorated with rosettes set mainly with red stones, jade and turquoises. Scabbard wood is covered with red velvet.
