Dussack - Slightly curved single edged blade (length 74 cm, width 4.3 cm), double-edged at the point, simply decorated on the one side with waves and punched patterns, stamped with the angel mark. Iron hilt. An open, flat knuckle-bow that extends into the equally flat quillons, whose one end curve slightly upward toward the pommel and towerd the point on the opposite side. The ends of the quillons are flat and wide. The sail-shaped guard plate, which rises upward on the third side, is decorated with two symmetrical groups of openwork. There is a flat, S-shaped sideguard connecting the knuckle-bow and the guard plate. The front arm and rear arm are additionally connected to the crossbar by a thumb guard. Wooden grip. Low, pyramid-shaped pommel; oval, flat riveted button. German, late 16th century, length 87 cm. Condition 2+
