An Italian Short Sword - Broad, double-edged blade with the round tip, the upper third with fullers stamped with the IHS monogram on both sides, surrounded by ornamental lines. Beautiful, iron flat stirrup hilt with downward-curved quillon with end chiselled with a bird head. Ring-guard. Original, wooden grip with wire binding and moor's heads of brass wire. Reachly decorated flat pommel has remnants of gilding. Pobably Venice, 1st half of the 16th century, langth 72 cm. Condition 2+
