Dragoon Flintlock Pistol, Cantonal Order 1769, Bern - Smooth barrel, length 34.5 cm, caliber 18.7 mm, ”TWP” mark stamped in a cartouche in the chamber area (Thomas Wilhelm Pistor of Schmalkalden, 1720–1787). Brass front sight. Smooth flintlock marked ”JMV”; lock plate and hammer are domed. Smooth walnut stock, marked; brass fittings. Lock counterplate serpentine-shaped. Thumb plate, engraved D Compag D No. 156 (4th Regiment, 4th Company, weapon no. 156). Iron ramrod. Switzerland, Bern, second half of the 18th century, length 54 cm.
