Spanish Miquelet Belt Pistol - Octagonal barrel merging to round after a baluster, with a smooth bore of a calibre 16 mm. Slightly decorated ”‘patilla” lock. Steel sideplate incorporates the long steel belt hook pierced with a heart. The walnut full stock extensively inlaid with engraved steel tracery in the Ripoll manner. Chiseled steel trigger guard. Wooden ramrod. The style of this pistol suggests that it was made in Ripoll during the mid to late 17th century. Length 46 cm. Condition 2+
