Round, rifled barrel with 18.2 mm cal. at the nozzle and octagonal breech (visible clean rifling) provided with front sight and club guide for the bayonet, with foldaway and adjustable rear sight, remains of various marks including ”M T(I)” on the right side. Folding bolt. Backward spring lock with mark of Chatellerault imperial manufacture. Wooden full stock with round French 1866 stamp on the butt stock. Marked, iron mounts. Cleaning rod missing. France circa 1870, length 126 cm. Condition 2+
