Percussion Double Barreled Shotgun - Side-by-side, blued round barrels with smooth bore, 16.5 mm caliber, bead front sight. Breech block and top-tang with engraved decoration. The early percussion locks with cock-safety are adorned with a feather motif along the edge, acanthus leaves, and flowers. Walnut half-stock made of selected walnut wood is carved with hunting motifs; the nose features a zoomorphic head with eyes of mother-of-pearl and horn (slightly damaged trigger guard). Wooden ramrod with brass ferrule. Germany, probably Suhl, circa 1830, length 123 cm. Condition 2+
