Flintlock Sporting Rifle by Joseph Zurschenthaller - The octagonal, blued barrel, slightly swamped in the front third, with a rifled bore of 13 mm calibre is marked on the top ”J . Z . A . Ried . in . Inv (Innviertel?)'. The slightly domed smooth lock is signed 'Zurschenthaller'. Tumbler notch defective, functional double set trigger. Nicely carved walnut full stock, wind rosette inlaid on the cheekpiece with bone and black horn, bone star on the patch box sliding cover. Cracked. Smooth brass furniture, the nose of the stock finished with horn. Brass ramrod. Austria, Ried im Innkreis, 2nd half of the 18th century, length 111 cm.
