Mumei Shinshinto Kubikiri Tantō - A beautiful toppei koshirae, high-quality copper fuchi, kashira, and kurigata; a kuronuri saya; a katakiriha blade with a kokuin tsuchime on the back side; itame hada; a nioideki gunome midare hamon; shakudō menuki with a floral motif; and hineri maki tsukamaki. It is specifically designed with a ”head-cutting” (kubikiri) shape. During the long period of peace in the Edo period (1603–1868), it was used for splitting charcoal indoors (bokuwari, sumikiri tantō) or for pruning bonsai and ikebana (hanagiri tantō).
