SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND. 1918 - An elegant rectangular hip flask with rounded corners, made of sterling silver (925), crafted in 1918 by the renowned British silversmiths Mappin & Webb in Sheffield. The slightly curved body is ergonomically shaped to fit comfortably against the body. It features a screw-top cap with a hinged retaining arm, typical of hunting and travel flasks of the early 20th century. The surface bears light engraving and a naturally aged patina that highlights the flasks authenticity and period character. Hallmarks: Mappin & Webb, leopard’s head (London), date letter s for 1918, sterling lion passant, Sheffield assay mark.
